Confirmation...

Confirmation of your reservation is required by telephone, writing, faxing or e-mail. We will also require your credit card details, which will be held on file in order to secure the room and a deposit will normally be charged which is non-refundable..

Payment...

Account to be settled on departure. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and Switch.

Cancellation policy...

We need 7 clear days' notice of any cancellation. If shorter or no notice is given we will charge your credit card in full. If however, the room is re-let to another customer we will only charge for any shortfall. Every reasonable effort is made to re-let the room in the event of a short notice cancellation. The deposit paid at the time of booking is non-refundable.

Check in/out times...

Immediate occupancy of the rooms cannot be guaranteed before 1pm on day of arrival, unless previous notice is given. Likewise please let us know if you intend to arrive late in the evening. Rooms should be vacated by 10.30 am on the day of departure unless alternative arrangements have been made. Latest check in 11pm. Arrivals after midnight will forfeit their room booking but still be liable to full charge for that night.

Car parking...

There is ample parking in the grounds for guests, but friends of guests must make arrangements with the guest house if they need to leave their cars any length of time. Pulteney House is obliged to state that cars and their contents are parked entirely at car owners' risk.

Pulteney House does not allow smoking in the rooms. But smoking is allowed in designated smoking areas of the guest house.

We regret that we are unable to accommodate any pets other than the Guide dogs of visually impaired guests, or by special arrangements.
